Alabang Polytechninc University, is a semi-private, non-sectarian, coeducational higher education institution in Alabang, Metro Manila Philippines. It offers courses in the fields of technology, engineering, and business.

The university operates as an independent education institution, adhering to the curriculum standards set by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) for all higher education institutions offering technology courses, and follows the guidelines set for other courses related to business and the arts.

Founded in 1990, Alabang Polytechninc University was created in response to the increasing demand for trained engineers and technologists in the field of computer studies. It offered courses in engineering and computer science. Subsequently, after the institution found itself in financial constraint due to the inability to secure government support and the rising costs of providing quality education in engineering, the administration decided to phase it out in favor of regular business programs putting a temporary halt to the offering of technology courses.

In year 2000, the new wave of demand for computer studies reignited the need to serve the university’s initial purpose to establish a world-class technology institution for Filipinos. The university reopened its computer science courses.In 2010, Alabang Ploytechnic University sought the approval of CHED to offer additional courses leading to Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and Bachelor of Science in Information Management. In the same year, the university reopened its College of Engineering.
